Hi, I’m Anne!
First off, thank you so much for taking the time to consider my profile. Although we have different journeys, my heart goes out to you. I understand that your number one goal is to find a loving, nurturing and happy home for your child. I hope as you look through my profile I can show you a glimpse of my life and the life I would provide to your child. I will provide a welcoming home, a lifetime full of opportunities and education and… endless laughs and love!
A Little About Me
Coming from a big family, I have always dreamt of being a parent. I am unable to have children of my own, and thanks to you and adoption, I will be able to fulfill that dream. With all of my nieces and nephews, and the children of my friends, I have been blessed to have children in my life for as long as I can remember.
I am the youngest of 7 children (3 boys, 4 girls) and have 8 nephews, 7 nieces, 3 great nieces and 2 great nephews! We are a pretty tight family and support each other trough everything; the good and the bad. I have a great group of friends that I consider as part of my family. I have been blessed to be a part of their families and a part of their children’s lives. I look forward to being able to share in the experience of raising a child with them, as they have been so gracious to allow me to help with theirs. My family and friends all live within a short distance and have such a great support system that I know this child will have so much love and guidance in their life.
I live in a spacious 3 bedroom ranch style home in a small town of about 5,000 people. The neighborhood I am in is very child friendly with parks nearby and a great aquatic center/rec center within a few blocks. I grew up on the family farm about 15 minutes away from my current home. My parents and siblings have all put many “touches” into my own house to make it a home where everyone is welcome and children are always a blessing.
I have been at my job in the ag/farming industry for 15 years. I have a great job and work with wonderful people. But when I am not at work I volunteer as a coach for some local youth groups in basketball and softball, and thoroughly enjoy working with children in the community. I am also on a Relay for Life team, and serve on the Relay for Life County Committee. Working together in our community is such a fulfilling opportunity to help raise awareness and funding to help fight this battle.
Traditions are important to myself and my family. Each holiday we gather together to enjoy everyone’s company while playing games, reading stories, sharing laughs and watching the kids play together. I hope to pass down these traditions to a child. My favorite holiday song is, A Violet in the Snow. This song means so much to me and I look forward to sharing it with a child. “A child is like a violet in the snow, beautiful and rare. No two are the same.”
I feel extremely lucky to be able to write this letter to you. This journey that both you and I are about to embark on together is both exciting and scary. My mom used to say that if the journey is not both of these things, then you are not ready for it. I admire your courageous decision that you have blessed me with.
I am the youngest of 7 children born to two amazing parents. I am also an aunt to several nieces and nephews! So needless to say I love children! Born and raised on the farm, outside of a small town of about 300 people, I learned the value of family, community and hard work. I moved to my current home in a city of about 5,000 people. I have a quiet and kid friendly neighborhood. There are always kids outside riding bikes, playing games and all the things that children do! The school system is second to none in terms of academics, athletics and arts. I am very proud to be a part of this school district.
I have a great group of friends around me as well who are all excited and super supportive of this journey. I consider my friends as family, and know that they will be there for me and help in any way possible. Many of my friends have children and I have been blessed to be a part of their lives and see their children grow. I look forward to being able to share that experience with them. Thanks to my large family and friends, I have a wide variety of interest. I like sports, both watching and participating. I have gone to dance recitals for almost 20 years, as well as band, vocal, school plays and almost any event a person can be involved in!
I have dreamed of becoming a parent for as long as I can remember. Not being able to have children of my own is very difficult, but I believe things in life happen for a reason. I am at a point in my life where I can provide a child and you will never know how appreciative I am to you for this opportunity.
